thimble
Reimagining bespoke fashion for the digital age
thimble was developed as a solo project during my graduate Industry Practicum course, facilitated by designer and educator Keanan Duffty. The project explores how to connect individuals with tailors and independent designers through a platform that makes custom garment creation accessible, intuitive, and scalable.
Concept
thimble responds to the growing demand for personalization in fashion. It envisions a digital space where users can commission bespoke pieces, tailoring services, and design collaborations. By building a structured marketplace, the platform empowers both makers and clients, helping artisans set fair prices while offering consumers transparency and creative control.
My Role
I created thimble from the ground up, leading all aspects of the project, from product concepting and market research to brand identity and platform design. I built the thimble website demo-ed below, utilizing AI tools to accelerate design, content development, and user experience. This work included developing user flows, pricing frameworks, and the platform’s positioning to highlight sustainability, craftsmanship, and the unique value of one-of-a-kind clothing.
Vision
Thimble imagines a future where custom fashion is not reserved for the few but made available to anyone seeking to express themselves through what they wear. It bridges tradition and technology, supporting local makers while inviting global participation.
